RP ambassador to Libya is new DFA spokesperson

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Ambassador to Libya Bayani Magibin will take over as the new Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) spokesperson starting Saturday. He replaces assistant secretary Claro Cristobal. In a phone interview with GMANews.TV, Cristobal said change in assignments is normal within the department and said he will be delegated to another assignment. "I wish to express my gratitude for all your support and cooperation and kindly request you to also kindly extend the same to my successor, Ambassador Bayani Mangibin," Cristobal said in a text message to reporters. After his stint as DFA spokesperson, Cristobal will serve as the Hong Kong consul general replacing Alejandrino Vicente. - Johanna Camille Sisante, GMANews.TV
