Sarangani's provincial board of canvassers is set to declare the seven division world champion and reigning holder of the mythical pound-for-pound title as the province’s representative in the 15th Congress. Pacquiao's second attempt inside the political arena ended up in a huge knockout win based on GMANews.TV's partial unofficial tally with the "People’s Champ" holding a 39,934 lead over main rival Roy Chiongbian in their two-cornered fight for the province's lone legislative district. Pacquiao, as of 12:37 p.m. on Tuesday, garnered 79,346 votes compared to Chiongbian's 39, 412 with only 17 percent of the election returns left to be tabulated. - GMANews.TV
